History:

The Stemnut MD tool was developed by Chuck Reames, also the inventor of the S.N.A.P. Tool.  The S.N.A.P. Tool was developed while working for The Shaw Group (now CB&I) at LOOP.  The first patent was issued in December of 2012 and has been used to successfully measure the stem nut wear on all rising-stem valves at LOOP and LOCAP.

S.N.A.P. tool Customers:

  -  Shell Pipeline

  -  Marathon Pipeline

  -  Colonial Pipeline

  -  Phillips 66 Pipeline

  -  Targa Resources

  -  NYC Department of Environmental Protection

  -  Newport Naval Ship Yard

The unexpected failure of a motor-operated valve (MOV) stem nut can be costly and/or catastrophic in an industrial plant.
Unfortunately, many sites exercise an “out of sight, out of
mind” approach to stem nut maintenance.
SNAP Products, LLC has an innovative  tool that can be used to non-intrusively quantify stem nut thread wear. The Stemnut MD tool was designed to efficiently determined stem nut thread wear on most rising stem motor operated valves.

- We will sell the Stemnut MD tool kits and provide on site training.
